<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source device for stabilizing the luminance of a gas discharge tube, and for facilitating the maintenance work for the gas discharge tube. <P>SOLUTION: This light source device includes: pin socket members 33a to 33e allowing stem pins 19a to 19i projected outward from a stem part 11b to enter; and an insulating socket member 30 having the pin socket members 33a to 33e, wherein the insulating socket member 30 is brought into a surface contact with the stem part 11b to removably fix the gas discharge tube 10. The gas discharge tube 10 is closely fixed to the insulating socket 30 to improve the positioning accuracy of the gas discharge tube 10. Further, the gas discharge 10 is removabley fitted to the insulating socket member 30 to facilitate removal of the gas discharge tube 10 and facilitate the maintenance work for replacing the gas discharge tube 10 or the like. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
