<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrooptical device more adequately adjusting white light of an LED by using an optical sensor equipped with a dummy filter having the same transmissivity as that of a color filter. <P>SOLUTION: The electrooptical device is, for example, a liquid crystal display device has first colored layers of a plurality of colors arranged between a pair of substrates. A back light lighting device is a light guide plate having a plurality of light sources, such as red, green, and blue LEDs, projecting lights of mutually different colors on, for example, an end surface. Then second colored layers which are dummy filters are installed outside an image display area of one substrate and equal in light transmissivity to the first colored layers and, for example, the same layers with the first colored layers are used. An optical sensor detects light intensities of the lights of the respective colors transmitted through the plurality of second colored layers, and a light source control means controls light intensities of the plurality of light sources, color by color, on the basis of the light intensities of the lights of the respective colors detected by the optical sensor. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
