<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polynuclear complex suitable as a catalyst having not only unique catalytic activity but also having catalytic capability enabling decomposition into water and oxygen while suppressing free radical generation as a highly thermally stable catalyst, especially a hydrogen peroxide decomposition catalyst, and higher in thermal stability, and to provide a polymer of the polynuclear complex. <P>SOLUTION: [1] The polynuclear complex contains in the molecule at least one ligand L having the requirements(i), (ii) and (iii) described below and multiple metal atoms, wherein the requirements are as follows: (i) having a group with polymerizable multiple bonds and/or a ring-opening-polymerizable ring, (ii) having five or more coordinating atoms coordinating with the metal atoms, and (iii) the ligand(s) L is(are) soluble in a solvent. [2] The (co)polymer obtained by (co)polymerization of the polynuclear complex[1] is provided.
