摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode catalyst for an electrochemical reaction for a fuel cell or brine electrolysis and the like which is stabilized in catalyst activity more than a conventional diamond electrode. <P>SOLUTION: This electrode catalyst for an electrochemical reaction is formed out of conductive diamond particles each formed by supporting a carbon reactive catalyst metal to pores formed on its surface. The catalyst can be used as an oxygen electrode 2 or a hydrogen electrode 3 of a fuel cell, or as a gas diffusion negative electrode of a brine electrolysis bath. The metal catalyst supported in the pores is high in stability of the catalyst (aggregation suppression, come-off prevention as compared with a metal catalyst supported to a particle surface), can achieve high activity and a long life by a small amount of metal, and can reduce usage of an expensive metal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
