PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus and its program which enable photographing according to the utilization schedule set, by determining the situations of photographic record. SOLUTION: When a use schedule is set by a setting means 24, a first control means controls a recommended image quality computing means 26 to make the recommended image quality calculated, based on the set use schedule and an available memory space of a flash memory 14 at the setting, and a notifying means 27 notifies the user of the computed recommended image quality; a determining means, based on the situations of a photographic record by a photographing record control means 28, determines whether the photographic according to the use schedule set with the recommended image quality, which has been computed by the recommended image quality computing means 26, can be performed to the end. If the photographing, according to the use schedule, is determined as being capable of conducting to the end, an operation control means 29 controls the recommended image quality computing means to make a new recommended image quality recomputed and notifies the user of this.
