PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless communication apparatus which can perform wireless communication with good transmission efficiency even when large size data is transmitted. SOLUTION: The wireless communication apparatus for performing modulation and wireless transmission of transmission data judges the data size of the transmission data at a data size judgment section 22, and detects the communication quality, e.g., the equalization error, of a transmission path by means of an equalizer 21. A modulation system determination section 23 determines the modulation system of transmission data based on a data size judged at the data size judgment section 22 and an equalization error detected by means of the equalizer 21.
