PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an assembling method for an optical module capable of preventing an optical coupling efficiency between a light emitting element and an optical fiber from getting low, and the optical module. SOLUTION: This method finds a positional relation between the first holder 101a and the second holder 71, in a step S5, and finds a positional shift amount generated by welding the both, in a step S6.
