PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel injection control system for a multi-cylinder engine which uses ignition signals of an ignition device as reference timing of fuel injection time, capable of detecting erroneous connection of wires between the ignition device and the fuel injection control system without causing cost increase and enabling execution of fuel injection control equivalent to the same in case of correct connection even if the connection is not corrected. SOLUTION: An electronic control unit 10 as the fuel injection control system measures time intervals of the ignition signals input by the wirings 21, 31, and compares a combination of the measured time intervals with a previously memorized combination of time intervals in case of the correct connection of the wirings in the same engine stroke so as to detect the erroneous connection of the wirings. When the electronic control unit 10 detects the erroneous connection, it modifies the settings so that a fuel injection signal is output to the same cylinder at the same timing as in case of the correct connection of the wirings, and memorizes the settings so as to thereafter output the fuel injection signal based on the changed settings.
