摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an electrooptical device such as a liquid crystal device, which has storage capacitance having planar structure, and, for example, reduces a light leakage current in a transistor and also easily improves numerical aperture. SOLUTION: The electrooptical device is equipped with a first storage capacitance 70a or 70b having a first capacitance electrode formed of the same film as a semiconductor film 1a and a second capacitance electrode 300 arranged on an upper layer side than a gate electrode 3a and opposed to the first capacitance electrode through a dielectric film 75 on a substrate 10. The second capacitance electrode 300 has a first main body part 300c opposed to the first capacitance electrode and an extension part 300s extending from the first main body part 300c so as to cover at least a part of a pixel electrode side LDD area 1c and insulated from a TFT 30 through a layer.
