PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a discharge lamp socket capable of keeping stable lighting performance while lightening in weight. SOLUTION: The discharge lamp socket 1 surrounds a central terminal 7 with a partition wall 20 in order to prevent high voltage discharge to the central terminal 7 installed in a housing 2 and an electronic component installed in a starter circuit C1 and generate desirable high voltage in the central terminal 7. Since the partition wall 20 is formed by superimposing a first standing strip 21 formed in a first housing half part 14 and a second standing strip 22 formed in a second housing half part 15, only by combining the first housing half part 14 and the second housing half part 15 in the assembly of the socket 1, the partition wall can be formed inside the housing 2.
