PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separation apparatus in which fine powder and water are separated from a mixture of a pellet, fine powder and water, particularly, water and chips stuck electrostatically to the resin pellet are separated/removed efficiently. SOLUTION: The separation apparatus is composed of: an agitation tank; a rotary shaft to be arranged in the agitation tank; an agitation blade which is connected to the rotary shaft and has a hollow structure on the inside thereof and has a plurality of pores communicated with the hollow structure in the positions to be in contact with the object to be agitated; and a suction hose connected to the agitation blade. The plurality of pores are communicated with the suction hose through the hollow structure of the agitation blade. When negative pressure is exerted on the inside of the agitation tank through the suction hose while rotating the agitation blade together with the rotary shaft to agitate the object to be agitated, the object to be agitated can be separated into a passable portion passable through the hole and an impassable portion impassable through the hole.
