<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive refrigerant compressor capable of securing reliability without declining finishing accuracy, an air conditioner using the refrigerant compressor, a refrigerating machine and a water heater. <P>SOLUTION: The refrigerant compressor is provided with a rotating shaft for driving a compressor part, a bearing journaling the rotating shaft and an electric motor for rotating the rotating shaft. The rotating shaft is provided with a main shaft part fixed to a rotor of the electric motor and a crank part engaged with the compressor part, and the bearing journaling the rotating shaft is provided with a main bearing journaling the main shaft part and a crank bearing journaling the crank part. The main bearing comprises a crank side main bearing and an electric motor side main bearing adjacent to the crank side main bearing. The crank bearing and the crank side main bearing comprise metal-impregnated carbon formed by impregnating pores of a carbonaceous base material including graphite with metal, and the electric motor side main bearing comprises carbonaceous unimpregnated carbon including graphite. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
