PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink composition for ultraviolet curable inkjet recording which exhibits very excellent adhesion to a printing base material and has excellent curability and flexibility simultaneously.

SOLUTION: The ink composition for ultraviolet curable inkjet recording contains a urethane prepolymer (A) having a structure derived from a specific oxetanyl compound such as 1,3-bis(3-ethyl-oxetan-3-ylmethoxy)-propan-2-ol and a cationic photopolymerization initiator (B).
