A vertical axis weight compensation control device and a method thereof are provided to prevent the deterioration of the transferring response. A vertical axis weight compensation control device comprises: a servo motor(10) moving a vertical axis(20) with the self rotation; a counter balance cylinder(30) compensating for the weight of the vertical axis with the fluid pressure or pneumatic; an electrical regulator(40) electrically controlling the fluid pressure or the pneumatic of the counter balance cylinder; a numerical value controller(50) calculating the power based on the vertical direction torque data; and a servo controller(60) controlling the servo motor by utilizing the improved speed feed forward gain.
