PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure gaps having specified sizes between the front end section and the rear end section in each layer of sheet-shaped magnetic materials, and to suppress the generation of air gaps between the layers, in an iron core for a laminated type transformer. SOLUTION: The measured value information of the gap between the front end section and the rear end section in the longitudinal direction of the sheet-shaped magnetic material previously cut and formed in an annular shape, is fed back to a control section setting the cut length of the sheet-shaped magnetic material before a cutting. The measured value information of the gap is compared with a preset reference value. The cutting length of the afterward-cut sheet-shaped magnetic material is obtained by an arithmetic operation using the actual board-thickness measured value of the sheet-shaped magnetic material as a function and set on the basis of a difference with the reference value.
