PURPOSE: A remote controller receiving module and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to plate a conductive metal, paint an electrodeposition paint and then remove unnecessary plated layers selectively. CONSTITUTION: A mold package(10) in which lead terminals(13-15) are protruded is manufactured by molding a lead frame by a resin. The lead frame includes a light receiving element and a signal processing element. A plated layer(20) for shielding electromagnetic waves is formed by plating a conductive metal on a surface of a mold package and is selectively removed by a laser beam.
