<p>The method involves producing a data packet by terminals (9) e.g. transmitting terminal, and transmitting the data packet to a receiving terminal over a data cable network i.e. Internet, where the packet contains a header and a payload. A packet of functionality is assigned to a service, and a marking produced at the transmitting terminal is added to the packet without loss of information. The marked data packet is detected by a filter function e.g. service charge function, present in the data cable network and the functionality of the marked data packet is allocated to the service. An independent claim is also included for a system for implementing a functional specific data packet detecting method.</p> |
