<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique of smoothly reproducing moving image encoded data from the previous stop position in reproducing the same moving image encoded data next time when the moving image encoded data are stopped in process of reproduction. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A resume reproduction system includes: a GUI part 11 for allowing an operator to edit in a terminal reproducing moving image data of an optional form; an operation managing part 12 for controlling processing related to a resume reproduction operation; a moving image file processing part 13 for controlling processing related to reproduction of a moving image file; a reproduction information file processing part 15 for processing control information for executing the resume reproduction; and storage parts 17A, 17B. The moving image file processing part 13 has a data processing part 14. The reproduction information file processing part 15 has an analysis part 16. The storage parts 17A, 17B store moving image files 18A, 18B, reproduction information files 19A, 19B and reproduction processing reference files 20A, 20B, respectively.
