<p>A microtome 10 for producing sections of a specimen 14 comprises a knife 12 for sectioning the specimen 14 and a cooling device 24, 26 for cooling a gaseous coolant. The cooling device 24, 26 generates a flow of coolant over the specimen. The cooling means may also be provided with a filter down stream of the specimen to retain sectioning wastes.</p> |
