PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out sterilization work safely and easily by positioning a prescribed part of a medical sanitation related material such as operation knife in a coil unit having a coil connected to a high-frequency current generating unit, and induction heating the medical sanitation related material to a predetermined temperature to sterilize the prescribed part. SOLUTION: A sterilizing apparatus 1 has a coil unit 2 and a transistor inverter 3. The coil unit 2 has a non-electroconductive cover 5 in which a slit 4 of a predetermined width is formed in the longitudinal direction, and a coil 6 of a horseshoe shape is provided in this cover 5. When a knife 12 already used for operation is sterilized, after the knife 12 is washed in a predetermined washing liquid, the blade 12a of the knife 12 is inserted into a slit 4 of the coil unit 2 from above. Then, an eddy current is induced in the blade 12a of the knife 12 by high-frequency current supplied from an output terminal of the transistor inverter 3 to the coil 6 through a high-frequency cable 10, and the blade 12a is sterilized by being heated to the predetermined temperature by the induction effect. |
