PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming system that can achieve a function as an access point while suppressing power consumption.SOLUTION: A radio communication part 17 of an image forming apparatus 10 initially transmits a reception signal intensity request at the maximum radio wave intensity (A1), receives information indicating the intensity of a reception signal when receiving the reception signal intensity request from terminals 40 as responses thereto, and reduces the intensity of an output radio wave within a range (A2) capable of communicating with a terminal having the lowest intensity of the reception signal indicated in the information. The processing is repeatedly performed at a constant cycle to deal with the occurrence of a new terminal entering from the outside of the range.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
