PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolytic secondary battery arranged so that the occurrence of electrocrystallization which would cause an internal short circuit or the like can be reduced while suppressing the decrease in electrical capacitance accompanied by charge and discharge.SOLUTION: The nonaqueous electrolytic secondary battery comprises a power-generation element. The power-generation element includes a positive electrode plate with a positive electrode active material layer formed on a conductive base material, a negative electrode plate with a negative electrode active material layer formed on a conductive base material, and an electrically insulating separator. In the power-generation element, the positive and negative electrode plates are alternately laminated with each other with the separator interposed therebetween. In the battery, the positive electrode active material layer has a part which is not opposed to the negative electrode active material layer of the negative electrode plate, and which is formed on at least part of the positive electrode plate. The nonaqueous electrolytic secondary battery further comprises an insulating member opposed to the part of the positive electrode active material layer which is not opposed to the negative electrode active material layer. |
