PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device that can be used for setting of the gradient of a pipeline in pipeline work or the like of a construction site of a house, is compact and has high operability, and a method for using the device.SOLUTION: A lowerable gauge rod 1 having a slide scale is installed on a groove dug for burying a conduit tube as a measurement point B; is lowered until the slide scale reaches the bottom of the groove; detects the depth of the groove; and with a phase difference measurement type laser distance meter 6 of a reference point A, detects a horizontal distance between A and B. Consequently, a gradient can be calculated based on the values of the detected depth and horizontal distance. |
