The present invention provides a detector assembly, a computed tomography apparatus having the same, and a control method for the same to effectively take advantage of each detection area and improves the response characteristics of the detector as different kinds of detection areas (an integral detection area and a coefficient detection area) are included in a single detector assembly. According to an embodiment of the present invention, in the computed tomography apparatus including a rotatable gantry wherein an X-ray source for generating and radiating an X-ray and a detector for detecting the incident X-ray from the X-ray source are mounted to face each other, the detector includes: an integral detection area to generate X-ray data corresponding to the X-ray detected according a charge integrated method; and a coefficient detection area provided above or below the integral detection area around the rotation axis of the gantry to generate X-ray data corresponding to the X-ray detected according a photon counting method.
