PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To read a pit data and a bar code data using the same optical pick-up by arranging a plurality of marks in a bar code shape in a circumferential direction in a long shape in a radius direction at a specific region between a lead-in area and a main information recording area and overwriting all or one portion of the marks with a pre-pit signal. SOLUTION: All data due to a pit is subjected to CLV recording according to a constant linear velocity onto a DVD disk, and a stripe 923 due to the omitted part of a reflection film, namely a bar code, is subjected to CAV recording by a constant rotary velocity. The stripe 923 is subjected to CAV recording while being overlapped to the pre-pit signal of a lead-in data region where an address being subjected to CLV recording is recorded, namely overwriting. A pit is recorded between the stripes 923 in a bar code shape due to overwriting. By utilizing the pit information, an optical head can be tracked and the rotary speed control of a motor can be applied.
