The invention relates to a water disinfecting equipment to be used, in particular, in installations for checking and calibrating water meters which are needed for determining water consumption in a distribution network. According to the invention, the equipment consists of a horizontal pipe (3) with some orifices (4), which is mounted on some supports (2) in a tank (1) for recycling the water needed for calibration, the pipe (3) being in connection with a vertical pipe (5) coupled, by means of a pump (P) and an electrically-operated valve (EV), to an ozone generator (GO) which makes ozone bubbles (7) in the water within the tank (1), in order to kill the microorganisms they contact and to create ascending water streams, where, for enhancing the disinfection effectiveness, two lamps (8 and 9) generating ultraviolet germicidal radiation are mounted inside the tank (1), within an enclosure (10) meant to protect them against the water, which is made, for instance, of plexiglass and is attached to the cover (11) of the tank (1). |
