PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle control device which can suppress that the start responsiveness of an engine is impaired while suppressing the generation of wear at a ring gear of a drive plate.SOLUTION: A vehicle control device estimates whether or not responsiveness is necessary when starting an engine 2 before the engine 2 is stopped, and controls a stop position of a crankshaft 2a at the engine stop on the basis of an estimation result. By this constitution, in a situation that acceleration becomes negative like the case of an uphill, the stop position of the crankshaft 2a is controlled within an angle region which is relatively favorable in start responsiveness, and the engine 2 can be stopped. Since the stop position of the crankshaft 2a at the engine stop is sorted according to the acceleration of a vehicle 1, the generation of wear at a ring gear of a drive plate 3 can be suppressed. As a result, the impairment of the start responsiveness of the engine 2 can be suppressed while suppressing the generation of eccentric wear at the ring gear of the drive plate 3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
