A method of dehydration of chlorides comprises the step of thermal treatment of chlorides within a fluidized bed of a multi-chamber fluidized bed apparatus by a thermal medium containing hydrogen chloride. The hydrogen chloride is delivered to all production chambers and the content of the hydrogen chloride in the thermal medium delivered to each successive production chamber is greater than the content of the hydrogen chloride delivered to the preceding chambers.
