发明名称 Maschine zur Herstellung eines mit Buescheln versehenen Gewebes und Verfahren zu dessen Herstellung
摘要 910,604. Tufting-machines. SINGER-COBBLE Ltd. March 19, 1959 [Dec. 29, 1958], No. 9501/59. Class 112. [Also in Group IX] A tufting-machine for selectively inserting separate yarns into the same line of stitching in a base fabric comprises for each line of stitching a pair of needles aligned to sew at the same stitch point, means for feeding a separate yarn to each of said needles, means urging said needles to an upper position, and means for selectively engaging either of said needles to move it downwards through said base fabric to form the next stitch in said line of stitching, and to return it to the said upper position after the stitch has been formed. As shown, a pair of needles 24, 25, aligned in the direction of work feed, is carried by respective bars 22, 23 slidably mounted in a fixed horizontal bar 17. Bars 22, 23 converge downwardly towards each other. Recesses 26, 27 in the lower part of bars 22, 23 are engaged by lugs 28, 29 on bar 17 to limit the axial movement of bars 22, 23. The latter are also formed with upper recesses 51, 52 and near their upper ends with notches 37, 38. A latch bar 16 is pivoted at its upper end at 15 to a horizontal bar 14 carried by vertically-reciprocating bars 13. Bar 16 is biased forwardly by a spring 47, whereby a nose 39 on bar 16 engages notch 37 to couple bar 16 to bar 22 for reciprocating needle 24. Bar 23 is raised to its uppermost position by a spring 46. Bar 16 is connected by a cable 50 to the armature 49 of a solenoid 48, whereby, when the latter is energized, bar 16 is biased rearwardly and a nose 40 thereon enters notch 38 when bar 22 next reaches its topmost position. Bar 22 is then uncoupled from bar 16 and bar 23 is coupled to the latter for reciprocating needle 25. Bar 22 is biased to its uppermost position by a spring 45. Solenoid 48 is energized via a lead 56 connected to a fixed contact 57 cooperating with a movable contact 58 on one end of a lever 59 pivoted at 60. The pointed other end 61 of lever 59 rides over a rotary pattern drum 63 for opening and closing the contacts 57, 58. A solenoid is provided for each pair of needles 24, 25. A knife 34 co-operates with the looptaker 36 to produce cut pile. A pattern such as that shown in Fig. 5 may be formed by feeding white yarn 65 to the forward needles 24 and by feeding coloured yarn 66 to the rear needles 25. Specification 853,746 is referred to.
