A tyre repair plug comprises a resilient laminar member with a hole therethrough permitting an insertion tool to be applied therein. In modifications (a) both ends are formed as at 11, (b) both ends are formed as at 4, (c) the portion 3 of constant width is omitted. In a further embodiment the plug is rectangular in plan (Figs. 1, 2, not shown) and in another (Fig. 10, not shown) it is circular in plane and has an eccentric hole therein. The plug may be formed of alternate layers of vulcanized and unvulcanized rubber with the outermost, exposed layers being vulcanized, or of vulcanized, very elastic rubber optionally coated with unvulcanized, vulcanizable rubber. |
