<p>Method for recovery of Cu/Pd catalyst used for the oxidn. of alkenic cpds. comprises (a) discharging a part to be purified from the oxidn. reaction soln., (b) separating this part into a liquid and a solid fraction consisting of Cu oxalate, metallic Pd, and solid org. by-products, (c) contacting the solid fraction with a soln. of hydrochlorite or hypobromite in water, and (d) separating the Cu oxide/hydroxide, metallic Pd and/or Pd salts from the aqs. soln. by filtering or decanting. The solid fraction from (b) is pref. first contacted with an alkali metal hydroxide, carbonate or bicarbonate, before (c), pref. with a 2-10% wt. soln. of the alkali metal cpd. at 40-100 deg.C. Stage (c) is pref. carried out with sodium hypochlorite at a temp. between room temp. and 100 deg.C.</p> |
