PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suitably protect an IC chip by providing a protective member for covering the chip, and a hard reinforcing member for reinforcing a part for surrounding the chip of the member. SOLUTION: The module A for an IC card comprises a flexible board 1, an IC card 2, an antenna coil 3, a protective cap 4 and a reinforcing member 8. The member 8 is formed of harder metal or ceramics than the cap 4, and formed in a ring state of a larger inner diameter size than a width of a recess 5. The member 8 is disposed near the chip 2 to surround the outer periphery of the chip 2, and embedded by insert molding in the cap 4. Thus, a large damage of the cap 2 due to reception of a force of deflecting deformation of the cap 4 can be prevented. |
