PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plain paper type ink jet recording sheet having excellent water resistance of an image, image density and feathering and small discoloring with elapse of time in a printing part. SOLUTION: The plain paper type ink jet recording sheet comprises cationic resin of 0.2 g/m<2> or more of dry coverage adhered to a support in such a manner that 30-sec cup sizing degree of 30 g/m<2> or less and further permeability specified according to JIS P 8117 is 40 sec or less. Further, the sheet also comprises surface sizing agent adhered together with the cationic resin to the support. |
