BACTERIUM SHOWING FUNCTIONAL PROTEIN ON SURFACE, ITS EXPRESSION VECTOR, PREPARATION OF FUNCTIONAL PROTEIN AND CLONING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject new bacterium useful for preparing a functional protein of cell surface nonexpression, comprising a bacterium showing a part of a target protein of a fused cell composed of a substrate protein derived from bacterium permeable protein and the target protein on the surface. SOLUTION: This bacterium shows at least a part of a target protein of a fused cell composed of at least a substrate protein derived from a bacterium permeable protein and the target protein on the surface and is a new bacterium for showing a functional protein on the surface in which the target protein is a functional protein of cell surface nonexpression. The bacterium can express the functional protein of cell surface nonexpression which has been unable to be expressed on the surface of a cell conventionally and is useful for producing a functional protein by ready recovery and screening for biological activity of the functional protein. The bacterium is obtained by inserting an expression vector containing a DNA prepared by bonding a DNA encoding the functional protein of cell surface nonexpression to a DNA encoding the substrate protein derived from the bacterium permeable protein into a bacterium.
