1,155,996. Fluid actuation of switches. CORY CORP. 20 Sept., 1966 [21 Oct., 1965], No. 33150/68. Divided out of 1,155,994. Heading H1N. A switch 211 with alternate operating buttons 228, 229 is actuated by float 224 acting on lever 246 for high liquid level and on a selected leafspring 239a, 239b, 239c or 239d for discrete low liquid levels. A selected leaf-spring is moved to the right against its spring 238 such that its free end lies in the path of collar 227 on float rod 225, and at the corresponding low liquid level the leaf spring is urged against a respective pin 243 on rod 241 to cause the latter to actuate switch 211 by means of button 228. Rod 241 is provided with a retraction spring 242. A lowermost leaf-spring 239e is always positioned to the right (as shown) to ensure actuation of the switch at a minimum low liquid level. |
