A composition comprises from 5 to 35 parts by weight of a flexible polymer (A) prepared by polymerizing a mixture of 20 to 60% by weight of butadiene, and 0 to 60% by weight of methyl methacrylate, and/or 0 to 80% by weight of ethyl acrylate, said mixture containing up to 5 parts by weight per 100 parts of monomers of a cross-linking agent which is a monomer other than an aliphatic conjugated diene containing at least two non-aromatic unsaturated bonds in its molecule, and from 95 to 65 parts by weight of a rigid resinous polymer (B) prepared by polymerizing 80 to 100% by weight of methyl methacrylate with 0 to 20% by weight of methyl acrylate. The polymer (A) is prepared in emulsion and the polymer (B) is prepared in emulsion or dispersion. The composition may be formed by blending latices and coagulating or by mixing in the solid state or by other means. Conventional antioxidants may be added. |
