METHOD OF DEASPHALTING AND DEMETALLIZATION OF CRUDE OIL VACUUM DISTILLATION RESIDUE

FIELD: petroleum processing. SUBSTANCE: invention aims at removing remains of vanadium and other metals. Process is carried out with dimethyl carbonate in presence of supercompressed carbon dioxide and consists in mixing vacuum distillation residue with dimethyl carbonate in carbon dioxide atmosphere at such pressure and temperature ensuring dimethyl carbonate to be basically in liquid state resulting in formation of homogeneous crude oil solution. Entire system is cooled to temperature ensuring formation of three phases and gas is blown away at that temperature. Deasphalted and partly demetallized crude oil is isolated from intermediate phase.
