The invention refers to a process to obtain alcohols with 7 to 18 carbon atoms, through the hydroformylation of the corresponding olephines with synthesis gas, in the presence of an organic phase that contains a cobalt catalyst to temperatures of 50 to 220 degree C and pressures of 100 to 400 bar and continued by a hydrogenation of the aldehydes thus obtained, forming the cobalt catalyst with synthesis gas, making react a cobalt aqueous saline solution in the presence of an non miscible organic solvent or only a little miscible with water and obtaining the organic phase that has the cobalt catalyst through extraction of the aqueous phase of the cobalt catalyst formed with a miscible extraction organic agent or only a little miscible with water. The cobalt catalyst formation, the extraction to the cobalt catalyst formed organic phase and the hydroformylation of the corresponding olephines are effected in a process of one stage. The oxo-alcohols obtained by the help of the process according to the invention are used to obtain carboxylic acid esters as a softener for plastics. |
