Apparatus for drying a photographic emulsion-supporting film in strip or sheet form comprises pairs of rolls 1, 2 for conveying the film past longitudinally slotted tubes 7, 8 which direct warm air over the whole width of the film from both sides, the tubes 7, 8 being supplied unilaterally with air from chambers 9, 10 respectively and each tube having a closed end and an open end, and having a drop-shaped cross-section which tapers conically in the direction of the closed end. The open end of each tube is removably positioned in an air chamber by means of a leaf spring 12 cooperating with a catch bolt 11 at the closed end of the tube, the leaf spring biasing the tube to position the open end thereof in the air chamber. |
