The equipment comprises a heated welding bar with proud edges which correspond to the glove shape. The two films of plastic to be welded are held on to the surface of an endless belt below the welding bar. The surface of belt is electrostatically loaded, as is the movable film which passes between the plastic glove film and the welder. The electrostatically charged surfaces hold the gloves in position.
