<p>Spreading device is intended for distributing a layer of paste or cream esp. for pastry making, by the simple operation of sliding the device, contg. the paste, horizontally over a smooth sheet of paper of other surface. The device comprises two vertical walls connected by another wall which is slightly inclined inwards. A second movable wall has two button-holes and two clamping screws with wing-nuts; these clamp the two walls together after making a thickness adjustment by two threaded screws; with knurled heads, which cause a gap to be left at the bottom through which the paste can flow. The device is drawn slowly in the horizontal direction so as to deposit a uniform layer of the desired width, of the paste or cream poured inside the frame formed by the three walls.</p> |
