Anthelmintically active medicaments contain 4,5,6,7-tetrachloro-2-trifluoromethylbenzimidazole (I) as active substance. - (I) has good activity against parasitic helminths such as nematodes and trematodes (esp. Fasciola hepatica) and is suitable for use in human or veterinary medicine. - Dosage is generally 0.1-5 mg/kg/day, pref. orally or parenterally.
