PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manage the manufacture of custom-built products based on user specifications. SOLUTION: This system for managing the manufacture of custom-built products is provided with a custom-built product recording means for inputting respective custom-built products in a data base provided in a computer in connection with a user and necessary characteristic and sorting, recording and displaying them hierarchically, a product code imparting means for imparting a product code based on a united standard, a product manufacturing information recording means for inputting manufacture data on specifications, manufacturing method, etc., concerning manufactured products and product information on a delivery result, a manufacturer list, etc., and a manufacture request or estimate preparing means which prepares a manufacture request or estimate collating the product manufacture information and transmits the manufacture request or estimate to a manufacturer or a user through LAN or the Internet. The system not only performs the management of product manufacture easily and without mistakes but also organizes the custom-built products of overlapped and proximal specifications. |
