[Also in Division E2] Hatch cover fastenings 12 comprise a number of link operated hooks 17 pivotably mounted on the coaming 10 and each provided with an elastic cushion 26 and operated simultaneously by a rod 13 running along the side of the coaming and displaceable in its longitudinal direction. The link component of each hook is a crank lever 20 pivotably supported in a bracket 19 on the coaming, one arm of the lever being pivotably connected to the rod at 22 while the second arm 28 of the lever has a forked end and encloses the lower end of the hook. Each hook 17 has a laterally extending stud 24 which is guided by a crescent-shaped slot 25 in bracket 19 and open at one end. Forked arm 28 of the lever brings the hook into and out of a locking position.</p> |
