PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical information recording medium and method and device for recording/reproducing it capable of reproducing a minute recording mark or recording pit at a high resolution and a high S/N. SOLUTION: The optical information recording medium 1 provided with a variable transmissivity layer 5 and an information layer 4 on a substrate 10 is irradiated with two kinds of light beams 2, 3 with wavelengths different from each other. A high temp. area 6 is formed on the variable transmissivity layer 5 by the light beam 2, and the transmissivity is raised, and reflection light from the recording pit/recording mark 9 recorded on the information layer 4 through the high temp. area 6 by the light beam 3 with the wavelength longer than the light beam 2 is received by a detector to be reproduced.
