PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the view of the shore of a lake of a shallow water depth, to effectively improve the cleaning of a water quality ground the shore and environment for aquatic organism and to realize improvements with little labor and at a low cost. SOLUTION: This foundation for greening the water surface is provided with a box-type foundation main body 1 in which packing material giving growing environment for aerobic microbe is packed so as to allow the extension of the root system of a bald cypress 8 and a holding means for stand-holding the bald cypress 8 to be planed at this foundation main body 1. Many small openings for extending the root system of the cypress 8 to outside are provided at the side faces and the bottom face of the foundation main body 1. The packing material and the foundation main body 1 absorb water slowly so that it floats on the surface of water at the early stage of placing the foundation in which the cypress 8 is planted but it sinks under water because of gradually loosing planctonic by the increase of weight due to the growing of the cypress 8 and the increase of its weight due to the slow absorption of water by the packing material and the foundation main body 1. |
