PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power steering device in which power assist can be obtained in conformity with a handle operating time so as to be excellent in responsiveness. SOLUTION: This power steering device is constituted so that an oil pump 4 supplying hydraulic oil to a power steering cylinder built in a steering gear box 3 is driven by an electric motor 7. In this case, pressure variation of the hydraulic oil due to operation of the power steering cylinder is detected by a pressure sensor, and the rotating speed of the electric motor 7 is controlled based on the detected signal. |
