<p>Herbicide contains as active ingredient the cpd. of formula: (where X is lower alkyl, Y is halogen, p and q are 1 or 2, 2 = p+q =3, Z is halogen, n is 1 to 4, with a proviso that when n is 2, the case that X is 2-methyl and Y is 4-chlori is excluded). The herbicide can kill weeds such as barnyardgrass, bog pondweed and monochoria by the application to irrigated paddy fields without damage to rice plants. The herbicide is applied at a rate of from 500 g to 1000 g active cpd. per 10 ares. The active cpd. gives no damage to rice plants even when it is applied at the rate of 300 g per 10 ares.</p> |
