<p>Pigments are of formula: (in which K is a coupling component; X is -NHR1, -NR1R2 or -OR2; R1 is H or a hydrocarbon gp. opt. carrying substit. gps. or hetero-atoms, and R2 is a hydrocarbon gp. opt. carrying substit. gps. or hetero-atoms. Ring A can carry further substits., and the molecule is free of -SO3H and -COOH gps.). Coupling components are pref. opt. substd. 2-hydroxy 3-phenyl-aminocarbonyl naphthalene, 1-phenyl 3-methyl pyrazol one, or acyl-acetylamino benzene; R1 and R2 are pref. alkyl, cycloalkyl or phenyl gps. Pigments give yellow to red shades of good fastness, resistance to heat and transparency, and are suitable for colouring plastics, paints, fibres and printing inks.</p> |
