PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote controller with a light receiving window that can receive light over a wide and long range. SOLUTION: A light receiving section of the remote controller using an infrared ray is configured such that the light receiving window 8 through which an infrared ray signal 6 passes is provided to a case 4 of the controller, light receiving elements 7a, 7b are placed obliquely to form a recessed sector shape with respect to an infrared ray signal 6c made vertically incident onto the light receiving window 8 in the middle of the light receiving window 8 so as to receive infrared ray signals 6a, 6b, 6c of the infrared ray signal 6 entering the light receiving window 8. Thus, the light receiving window 8 can receive the infrared ray signals 6a, 6b of the infrared ray signal 6 over a wide range as well as the infrared ray signal 6c of the infrared ray signal 6 made incident in front. Furthermore, the light receiving element 7a facing front the infrared ray signal 6a receives the infrared ray signal 6a of the infrared ray signal 6 to be able to receive the light over a long range in the direction of the infrared ray signal 6a of the infrared ray signal 6. Similarly the light receiving element 7b receives the light over a long range in the direction of the infrared ray signal 6b of the infrared ray signal 6. |
